Yes. All product updates, price changes and shipping issues and returns will be handled and automatically by us. For you, it's simple. When you sign up, you'll fill out a form with some basic information we'll use to build your personalized site. This will include information like store name, store logo, background information, etc. After you select your preferred payment options, sit back, relax and watch as we program, create and launch your elite, online store.

Personalizing Your Site

We have six separate design templates available from which you can choose your favorite. After you've selected your template, you can further personalize your site by:

  • Uploading your company logo (or display your company name)
  • Selecting from one of several background images for the masthead
  • Changing the link, background, foreground and accent colors throughout your site
  • Selecting your own site description and keywords for search engine optimization
  • Writing your own copy for all key pages, including: the header, homepage, your company's "About Us" / history and "Thank You" pages
  • If you don't have a company logo, our design team will gladly create an exclusive insignia for your company for the low cost of $25

By signing up today, you'll be able to get started offering the latest Cathy's Concepts products to the widest possible audience. Visitors to your site will be able to:

  • View and browse the entire line of Product Categories
  • Select Individual Products and view pricing, product photos, alternate views and descriptions
  • Add Personalization to most gifts and accessories
  • Place a secure online order
  • Have their order processed and shipped directly to them within 2-3 business days

Orders are paid for using a credit card. In fact, you could give your customers access to your online store by setting up a computer kiosk inside your retail store to complement your inventory - essentially making it possible to carry every product we offer without carrying the overhead! It's a win / win because we take care of the warehousing, personalizing, packaging, and shipping of products, saving you a great deal of money.

For your very own customized Cathy's Express Web site, the cost is minimal. For a one time set up fee of $200 and a monthly $20 hosting fee, billed quarterly, you'll have unlimited access to your very own Web site.

For a successful Cathy's Express Website, you'll need an advertising plan and budget much like the advertising plan and budget you create for your brick-and-mortar store. For some of you, a presence in cyber space will be a new, exciting adventure. Promoting a Web site may be a new experience for you. The number one question you'll need to ask yourself is, "What are my sales goals with my new Cathy's Express e-commerce site?"

Include your Cathy's Express web address on all of your current advertising.

  • This includes business cards, company letterheads, your listing in the Yellow Pages, Newspaper and/or magazine advertisements, customer invoices, register receipts, bridal shows/expos and any other form of advertising you utilize in your local areas.

Order Transaction Procedures

When a customer places an order on your Cathy's Express site, it is held in a transaction file. Below are the instructions for obtaining and approving your orders located in your transaction file.

  1. At 5:00AM every morning, you will receive an e-mail stating the date and number of orders pending. Please note that if you have do not have any orders; you will not receive an e-mail.
  2. In this e-mail message, there will be a link for you to click to approve your orders.
  3. You will click on this link in your e-mail.
  4. A login page will appear.
  5. Enter your Cathy's Express account number, which is your regular account number with a C in front of it. (For example, your current account number is 8410305, and then your Cathy's Express will be C8415030)
  6. Enter the password you provided to us when setting up your site.
  7. A table of your pending orders will appear.
  8. Click on "View Details" and print out the order(s) and process the credit card(s) for each order.
  9. Click "Approve Order" from the detail screen for each order.
  10. The order will then be sent to Cathy's Concepts and we will process it. If you do not approve the order within 7 days, the system will delete the order.



Using PayPal

  1. Set-up a PayPal account at www.paypal.com
  2. When setting up a Cathy's Express website, please provide your PayPal e-mail address, which is the one that you gave to PayPal.
  3. When approving orders, make sure there is a Transaction ID and a confirmation e-mail from PayPal. You must always approve all orders. It is up to you to make sure that you receive your money. You should not approve any orders before you have received payment from PayPal.
  4. If a customer wants to cancel or get a refund then login to your PayPal account. Go under view details of that transaction and then click on the refund payment option.
  5. Please make sure you understand and follow all procedures for PayPal payments, as we are not responsible for orders that you approve before receiving payment.

How much does a Cathy's Express web site cost?

The initial set-up fee is $200, followed by a monthly $20 hosting fee, billed quarterly.

How will I get my orders?

When someone places an order on your site, you'll be notified via e-mail that you have orders waiting for approval. You'll access your secure transaction management system by clicking the link in your e-mail, access the billing information the customer provided with their order, and process the payment. Then you'll approve the order with the click of the mouse. Once you have approved the order, we'll import into our fulfillment system and drop ship it for you directly to the customer.

How can I personalize my site?

When you complete your Personalization Package, you'll have options to specify your site design, color scheme and layout, as well as upload your logo, write specific copy about your store and more.

Do I need to know HTML to personalize my site?

Not at all! The system has been created to make it simple for you to specify your personalization preferences and submit your copy to us. Once we know your preferences, we'll build the site for you.

Can I add other manufacturers' products to my site?

Unfortunately, at this time, only Cathy's Concepts products will be available for sale on your Express Web site.

What will my domain name be?

In most cases, your domain name will be your store name followed by the Cathy's Express domain and will look like this: http://yourstore.cathysexpress.com

What kind of payment will be accepted?

You can have customers pay by credit card, PayPal, or even in your physical store location if you choose to offer that service. Since you will be processing payments, you can control the payment methods you want to accept.

What kind of security does Cathy's Express offer?

We use industry-standard SSL encryption to transmit credit card information securely both on the way from the shopper to our computers, and again from our computers to you, the merchant.

Do I need any special software to use Cathy's Express?

Nope. You already have everything you need, as long as you have a computer with a web browser and an internet connection. There are no extra plug-ins or downloads needed!

Returns & Exchanges

Cathy's Concepts will accept returns on all non-personalized items placed through a Cathy's Express Retailer for up to 30 days from shipment. Due to the processing and, personalized items and undergarments are not eligible for returns. The consumer or the retailer will be responsible for any shipping costs to send the item back to us. Cathy's Concepts will not absorb any shipping charges on return items.

The bride will be required to ship the merchandise back to our location at 6900 E. 30th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46219. We will process the return and send your store a notification of the return via fax confirmation or via e-mail. Your store will then need to credit her charge card account accordingly.

For damaged items, Cathy's Express will replace personalized items with exact same item with the exact same personalization. If damaged, personalized items will only be replaced within 48 hours of receipt of goods.

How should I go about promoting my Cathy's Express store?

What if I receive an email but there are no orders in my Pending file?

You must approve or deny an order within seven business days or it will automatically expire. If your email is more than 7 days old, chances are the order has expired.

Do you ship internationally?

We ship to all 50 states, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.

Should I collect sales tax?

You should be taxing the customer according to the tax laws of your state.

Can Google Analytics be added to the site?

Unfortunately, the site does not have back door capabilities at this time, but you can still optimize your site for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and organic ranking through the words chosen as your customized text.

We also have an onsite staff equipped to produce content and product descriptions for SEO and organic ranking, making it even easier on you!

Does the site have a Links/Resources Page?

We do not currently have a special Links/Resources Page; however we are capable of placing a few links on the Home and About Us Pages.
